Today, ZUFIAW Women stands alongside the Gender Division, formerly known as the Ministry of Gender, and various stakeholders in the nationwide launch of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence. Operating as a Division under the Office of the President, the Gender Division holds the vital role of coordinating and monitoring the effective implementation of Gender policies in collaboration with other government Line Ministries and cooperating partners. The theme for this crucial initiative is “UNITE: Invest to Prevent Violence Against Women and Girls.” The launch unfolds at the Mulungushi International Conference Center KK Wing and is honored by the presence of Minister of Justice Hon. Mulambo Haimbe SC. Notable attendees include our Union President Alfred Chifota, Deputy General Secretary Christabel Bwalya, and leaders from the women’s committee.
