ZUFIAW has successfully signed a collective agreement with First Alliance Bank Zambia,(FAB) securing a salary increment for its members for the 2023–2024 period. Despite a prolonged delay, the union also ensured back pay for employees. Negotiations were challenging due to the bank’s financial constraints amid broader economic difficulties. However, we appreciate our members’ understanding of management’s position throughout the process.

Looking ahead to 2025, there is optimism for improved conditions, as the bank has reported positive business performance, raising hopes for a better increment.

The signing ceremony took place on March 18, 2025, with ZUFIAW’s leadership represented by General Secretary Kasapo Sundrea Kabende and Deputy General Secretary Christabel Mukefuwa. From First Alliance Bank Zambia, attendees included Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer Mr. Kuldip Paliwal and Chief Human Resource and Administration Officer (CHRO) Ms. Diana Bwalya.
