ZUFIAW and ABSA Bank Zambia LTD have signed a Collective Agreement, for conditions of service for Unionized employees of 21% Salary increment across the board, translating to a 21% pay rise. In addition, the workers have also been awarded a K12,500 one off pay plus backdated pay from April 2021.Union General Secretary, Mr. Chingati Msiska, said that he was elated that the Collective Agreement was finally being signed after a series of protracted negotiations. He also noted that it was regrettable that differences in principle had arisen in the recent past which had not been amicably resolved. The Union Chief further called for honest consultation, dialogue and mutual understanding as well as mutual respect between Management and the Union going forward.Mr. Msiska assured the Unionized ZUFIAW members that the Union would continue fighting for their rights and ensure thο»ΏηŠ€εˆ©ε£« at they had dignity as workers.
